Whats your current "pellet plans" for this year?

Discussion in 'The Pellet Bag' started by Lousyweather, Apr 6, 2020.

?

Knowing what we know TODAY, what are you going to do for pellets this year?

  1. Ima ride this out and see what happens later in the summer!

  2. Im worried about supply. I am going to stock up early, even if the price isnt what I want it to be!

  3. Looks like I am not going to bother, given the price, and will burn oil/gas this coming winter!

  4. The ole paycheck looks bad, I am not buying due to lack of funds.

They just delivered. In Poughkeepsie NY driver said that this years stash started arriving in June, and what actually showed up to my surprise is stove chow which i like better. I'm really glad i ordered now, plus it let me use my $30 coupon on top of HD's bulk pricing. Delivery fee went from $65 last year to $79 this year but that's for the whole load not per ton.

That Energex pellets are now a Okanagan product . Did Okanagan take them over or just buying up their softwood .

Most likely, in typical American Bio fashion, they stick whatever they can get their hands on in their bags. Kind of like the box of chocolates saying :D

The wording they used is weird. I *think* they (Fireplace Showcase) mean to say they used to sell Energex Softwood pellets (last season) but this season they are selling Okanagan plats instead, and they consider them to be an equivalent product. I do not believe the product in Okanagan plat bags are actually Energex Softwood pellets, but what the heck do I know? Steve could be right - just put any old pellet in those bags, who will ever know the difference anyway, right?

I think we established long time ago that Stove chows we're bagged and distributed to BBS's by Energex [who we're bagging a few other brands back then under different names and maybe still do.]
agree that they can bag any pellets from and manufacturer and call it theirs..

Mainly do to BBS selling less than the pellet dealers can, So they put stuff in different bags to stop the bickers.

Web is easily untangled if ya snoop a bit with the UPC codes and such. :sherlock:

I stopped by Lowes this AM and was amused by the Greene Team Platinums outside with a sign that said $324. PT Barnum was right.
