What pellets did you get for this season & how many? Did you get early bird free shipping? Any pics?

I hate you guys at the coast, you get all sorts of pellets to chose from and someone near enough to deliver for decent (or no) cost.

    Nice haul

    Don-

We've only had them less than a year, so still waiting to hear from many folks, but so far they are good.
double wrapped isnt at all uncommon. All pellets have a plastic cover and are shrink wrapped as well (double wrapped?)......but some are also shrink wrapped before the cover (triple wrapped?). Some even have two covers, the top one being black is they are kept outside (New England are the only ones who I have seen do this)

Just ordered 2 tons of Matra softwood premiums $320/t0n, $40 delivery. No idea if that's a good pellet, or a good deal!

Good pellet, good deal for your area I would guess.
They are $299 here.. we tend to be a little cheaper than MA.

a bit further from the source as well. Tried a couple bags out last year as a test. They appeared to burn well with little ash. Even better, hair started growing back on my bald spot. Women started asking ME out! I was told by two ladies that I resembled Robert Redford (hopefully when he was younger!), Dos Equis called me to ask if I wanted to be their spokesperson. Maybe I should burn them this year......

i need to bump up the feed rate on my P61A to #4 as the matras are a bit longer than what i usually burn to get the same heat output.

Got them yesterday, and walked them down around the house and into the cellar. Three hours! But I was impressed with the wrapping. Shrink wrap around a half cover. Then shrink wrap around a second half cover, then shrink wrap around a full cover. Triple wrapped, dry, perfect, no broken bags. Also the pellets are small, almost like nuggets, and my cellar smells awesome! I also took the leaf blower to the stovepipe. Bring on the cold!

Be prepared to turn the feed rate down, as you'll get a more dense charge due to the short pellets.

last season the pellets we're 2x as long!! seriously had to raise the feed rate on my harman from #3 to 4....
    this year should be interesting..
EasyBlaze super premiums did same thing last season also.
went to a small kernal size and also color change from very light yellowish color to dark brown.
. have both in my basement so will be able to substain same feed rate..
