Since I obviously know nothing about how these are done I’ll proceed. Is there anyway you could weave one with a chainsaw design in the middle?
I would like one for each of my grandkids. That means I need/want 5. How about a trade? I'll trade you a wooden ink pen for each one. So 5 wood turned ink pens for 5 bracelets? Favorite colors of kids = red/white/blue (his birthday is July 3rd), pink, purple, green and blue. What say you?
You may have just opened yourself a can of worms here! I’ll bet a lot of manufacturers/ businesses get started this way. Create a quality chart product & a lot of folks are interested. I say good for you sir. Keep up the beautiful work & heal well!
justdraftn is a generous man, you all will keep him busy! He made this, and I use it every day. I'm using it now!
I don't think I could do a chainsaw design w/paracord....but.... If you find a chainsaw charm, I can incorporate it into a weave. Some thing like this: Do a search for chainsaw charms. You will find plenty.
...so, at my age...I have rehabbed myself almost back to normal. Pain is pretty much gone. Strength is about 60%. Still doing weights and ice everyday. Paracord has really done it. With consecutive 95*+ days for the past 2 weeks, not really interested in out door projects. ...so, a lot of paracord in basement shop and sitting in the shade on the patio. Treated myself to a real paracord jig. Didn't like the yellow color so...I camo'ed it. Didn't like always standing at my bench to work or hurt my back sitting on the couch....so... I invented the paracord buddy. Now I can 'cord anywhere in comfort. Latest fascination is lacing w/micro cord. Creates a whole new look. Requires a whole new set of skills to master.
Looking beautiful as always. Still have to get you our measurements. Glad to hear the healing is coming along nicely.
"at your age"... ahhh yes... been hearing those words from docs for a couple years now... I used to get all puffed up, pizzed off, punchin' trees... ... then I look at my meds and the mirror... ... ... Oh well... just gotta keep movin'... ... good luck with the elbow justdraftn
I love the mechanics of paracord. I am enamoured w/the feel of tightening the cord. The feeling as each strand and fiber slip into "their place". It is much the same as Robert Persig observed in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. The setting of a steel bolt into an aluminum block requires the "mechanic's feel". "Muscle traps torment novice mechanics who have an undeveloped “feel” and end up with twisted-off bolts and stripped threads. With every turn of the wench, your understanding of the machine increases, and eventually, you'll develop a bit of a “mechanic's feel,” that almost intuitive relationship with the machine that mechanical wizards develop. The “feel” comes with mastering a state of mind that allows for careful observation and precise thinking." ---Robert Persig This is the same feeling required to prepare a cobra dragon that will be laced. Each knot and wrap has to be considered at its inception, so that when laced it is symmetrical and smooth.
