    Just got a call from doctor's office. I've really been bugging them as I want out of this neck brace. Have to have a c-scan first. Dummies were supposed to make that appointment over a week ago. It was on their calendar to call about it on August 5. Well, now it is scheduled for 9/2 followed by doctor apt on 9/8. Not sure I can hold out that long wearing this thing. I feel like a work horse that has to wear a steel collar.

    Actually sleeping is getting to be more a problem. A week or more ago I began noting a difference in how the brace fits. I think it is a case of some swelling finally going down and the brace fits even worse. When I try to tighten it to fit better it actually causes pain. And today is the first time I've noticed pain when driving on our rough roads. I loosened it and that helped. Hope that goes away.

    Prayers to the family and employees of Mr. Baker, of Baker logging company. They are the folks logging the woods by my farm. Mr. Baker passed from COVID very quickly. I spoke with him just a few weeks ago. He was a robust outdoors person.

    This company has been a good group to have in the area, and working responsibly in the woods.
