Sorry man...always enjoyed seeing your pics of Giz...seemed like 10 lbs of personality packed into a 5 lb dog...
So sorry to hear of your loss. My son jas the exact same kind of dog and Frost is 19. How old was Giz.
Very sorry for your loss Stinny , hopefully with time things get easier. I never thought we would have a dog but the wife wanted one so through Helping Hounds in Syracuse with the help of a family member in that area, we were able to save a dog from what I call a kill shelter in Texas. We're very glad we had the chance, out of four pups she had in Texas, three lived and all three live in the Syracuse area with one of my family members adopting one.
So sorry to here this Stinny. Even my wife wants to tell you she feels the same. In addition to say she feels it is cruel to let a dog suffer.
Thanks again folks... had to change things up today, so we hit the road this morning with John Hyatt rockin' on the radio... headed to Naples for the river boat ride up Long Lake... then down to Portland for Grammy to get some grankid love (me too)... home now... just what the doc ordered...
Never an easy thing although he decision can be blatant clear. This old guy we had to take the trip 3 weeks ago. 14 years 6 weeks old. Did super until the last few days, I think he was saying it’s time I’ve had a good life.
Dang tree killer. Sorry for your loss...14 years is a good long life but must be soooo hard to lose. Chin up, he too will be waiting for you on the other side of the Raibow Bridge!!
He’s with his brother now. Been since 2015 he’s been the only big pup we had. 14 years for a lab is incredible. We are sad but know the facts. I grew up having labs and know the routine.
Stinny I am so very so very sorry for you loss. Our pets are family. Loss is such a empty feeling. You will be comforted by your memories of all the good times. tree killer , your old boy reminds me of my old Max. He was a dark chocolate lab. I lost him two years ago from a toxic reaction to one of those flea collars. I have a portrait of him with his big smile. Fond memories. 14 yrs. is a good age for those English labs. Sorry for your loss.
Larry 14 is impressive for sure. Charlie was a show bred dog, we ran field trials and hunt tests but a breeder friend gave him to us and said do what you can. He didn’t like water. My wife did some obedience stuff and he did well. He was just a happy dog, not a care in the world. We miss all our dogs, each one holds a special place in our hearts. Right now we are taking a break. Daughter is in college and we, baring China virus rules, can be “free” for a while. We will get another one or two eventually.
