My worn out ripped tennis finally died, ripped all the way. I need new ones but they changed the design, I ordered the exact brand/style/size last year, totally different now. Not worth return shipping so I gave them to my mother that will find someone who needs them where she lives. I have the choice of wally world or an upscale shoe store here. Bought a pair of hiking (walking) boot (shoes) a couple years ago, too heavy. Silly Sketchers do not have enough structure, not taking a chance on breaking a foot again. I also bought a pair of old school leather adidas a year of so ago, again, good structure compared to many womens walkers, but NO padding. Bummer, any suggestions ladies? Chazsbetterhalf , bogieb Woodwidow Midwinter Stephiedoll and others?

You don’t have to be a runner to enjoy a good running shoe. This brand is expensive, but if you watch for a sale on their site you can usually get a pair for $75-$100. Not cheap, I know. I usually hold off and find a pair of last years or even before that when I can get them for $60-$75. Like ASICS.

But. I bought a pair of Hoka OneOne last year and really liked them. I think I paid $89 for those. Good cushion and support.
Women's Running Shoes on Sale | HOKA ONE ONE®

    T
ap on description to read about them. Check specifics. Three cushion levels depending on model. Responsive, balanced, plush. I think mine were balanced. But I bet plush would be nice too. I’m going to try a pair of those some day.

I usually go through a pair of running shoes in six months. Use them for a lot of walking to. My son and I just found a model of ASICS we wanted to try on sale for $99. Ouch! Ordered them. But with everything going on who knows when they will get here!?

YES, that is exactly the pair that died and I tried to replace last year, totally cheapened up, smaller sole footprint and mesh fabric gone, as well as they even replaced the side strips reinforcement braids with stickers! Sonoma Gel.

I'll go take a peek again on the internet, going to look for a place that has free shipping on returns since I cannot try them on.

:whistle:Well. I once drew my sister-in-laws name for a Christmas present one year. And I bought her a really nice pair of huge dinosaur slippers. She loved them to wear around the house. Nice and warm!:handshake:

Got some work done with the L48 today. Pretty hot out at 84 and in the sun. Glad I had the 4 post canopy overhead. Installed that culvert and started building up the trail a little better. Took several breaks in the AC. Then after dinner I cut some grass with the zero turn. Had to go over everything twice.:picard:I really need to sharpen the blades or buy new ones. :picard:

Sorry to hear about your grandpa TrinitySouth99 hopefully he makes a quick recovery.

Skechers are crappy shoes. Typically they are bad for your feet as well. I bought a pair of them for work shoes ( office). They looked nice, and felt good for the few seconds I tried them on the store. They had little to no arch support and would hurt if I had to walk more than the average day.

Oh, and today I have teeth that are giving me sharp pain. Both in the same side of my jaw one in the bottom jaw, one on top, directly opposite of each other. Weird thing is, that only one hurts at a time. So the top one feels fine, and the button one is a sharp pain, sensitive to pressure and cold. Then they switch which is fine or not. Can't really be a tooth issue if they switch. Right?

Gotta be some sinus thing. :headbang:

I don't run, aside from back and forth on a tennis court, and I wear Asics running shoes as daily shoes. They make great shoes.

I ordered these two. I'd hope the first size would fit but when I tried to order replacement Gel Sonoma's they were smaller. Anyway that is the style I like, they have structure, padding, and a wide stable sole (UNLIKE Sketchers). Maybe I can sell the pair that does not fit at a consignment shop. Thanks for the reminder Gasifier

Dewar's 12 yr oak barrel aged shots straight and not in ice are helping. We'll that and a couple ibu.

Watching the Perseid meteor showers next to a small fire on the patio is pretty soothing.

I've never had this kind of teeth pain, well except when my adult teeth came in.
