One eye ball on airspeed gauge... the other out the windshield... hand on a lever/button that turns the sprayer on and off. Zoooooooooom...

Prolly has a GPS to keep track of what he's sprayed and where he's going next.

 

They plant wheat some with them around here. One year they planted my field next to my house and I ended up with wheat sprouting in my gutters!

Wonder what makes it work out well to fly vs a std sprayer?

I grew up in Northern Maine, which supplies a good amount of potatoes to the US and Canada (McCain Foods is the largest supplier of french fries in the world).

Anyhow I've never seen a crop duster. All spraying is done on the ground... tow behind or self propelled.

 

I bet it's just a biz thing. Can't make enough $$ to make it worthwhile for a guy to get set up to crop dust. I don't remember ever seeing one in Maine either... and up there in the county, where there are a lot of huge flat fields, that's sure where they'd be.
