Some people are uh, funny, to put it lightly. I dealt with a property owner a few weeks back that had a big pile of locust cut and stacked. A mile and a half from my house, 30 feet from the road. He had just cleared an overgrown lot. After a couple phone calls, emails back and forth, sending him a waiver form to relieve him of any liability, him expressing both interest and willingness, he stopped responding suddenly. I reached out to him a couple more times, very professionally, without badgering him explaining that I appreciate his time and consideration... to no avail. Oh well, there will always be another "perfect" score someday.

sometimes they get away Joe. I think your absolutely correct. You’ve done about all you can do without being intrusive.
Been wondering if maybe these are summer homes for the rich folks in NY. They may be never home this summer with the lockdowns and disrupted schedules. LOL
Just enjoy the AC this week.

Ahhhh. I don't drink anymore but in the spirit of Quebec and some really fun memories from Montreal clubs years ago, this one's for you:

I sure could use a beverage, it was hot out. Alcohol is probably not the best choice right now. After working on the storm damage all day( that maple limb hung up and fought the whole way down). I got dehydrated and started getting that patulous Eustachian tube feeling of muffled ears and dizziness. (I looked it up and it could also be contributed to by my recent weight loss,(not to brag, but in the times of the COVID 19#and the quarantine 15# I’m down like 20lbs whoohoo! I owe it all to the wood hoarders workout program and my kids eating every scrap of food I don’t lock up) to be fair I had/ have plenty to lose.

I went inside. wrung out my clothes [not joking, eww] and took a cold shower drank almost 40oz of water over about an hour, also my first sugary drink in a long time. Took a short half nap. Ears are fine and not dizzy anymore. Still have more pole saw stuff to do tomorrow. Pole saw is awful and slow, but I cannot reach everything with the chainsaw.

Be careful with that heat Joe. Push yourself too hard like that and sometimes you become easily susceptible to it in the future.

I drank 64 oz ice water during the day spread out. We just had to finish the dangler before my wife left for work. In the end it hung up the wrong way and we used the Maasdam and a 60” hi-lift and 12 ft 4x4 on the other side to push it over away from the trunk. Too heavy for Maasdam alone.

Maybe you're from New Brunswick then, or Ontario? Lots of Quebecois where I'm from, that's the only reason I know of it. It's been a long time since I had it. Very hoppy from what I remember. Not sure if that's your thing or not. For sure 9% will knock you into the dirt fast LOL. Not exactly lawnmower beer.

I age my maple syrup in a charred oak bottle that I “prime” by soaking it with some sort of whiskey. I then mix it together a bit until it tastes ok. If I use scotch, it reminds me of Drambuie but instead of honey, maple sugar and if you rinse the maple syrup out with Canadian whiskey it must be like what Sortilege is going for. I’ve never had it.

I barely drink, I’m still working on the scotch I got as a gift when I got engaged to my wife. It tastes good, I just don’t like to drink alcohol.
