Every time I am near my cherry pile I get caught up looking at the beautiful red wood. But on a day like today with the bright blue sky, it seems even more awesome! This is wood porn at its best to me.

I haven't had a full cord of cherry in ten years. It's not the highest BTU wood out there but I still love it. My wife and I have been known to sit outside in lawn chairs, down wind from the chimney, just to smell it burn.

I like the rich cherry red color as well, but I LOVE when it changes to something like this

That cherry does have a beautiful color. I have a grandfather clock my dad and I built from cherry lumber in 2001.
