Okay, which one of you pellet pigs stole the 10 bags of Blazers off FB marketplace for $45 (In Rochester, NH). Guy put them up for sale on Saturday, but wasn't available for me to pick them up until Monday :picard:. Of course I work during the week and by mid afternoon he had marked them as sold.

I've never even seen actual Blazers and it would have been sweet to get a few to try, even if I would have been on the road for 2.5 hours round trip.

Hope whomever got them enjoys them!

got home yesterday and was working on a carb in the shop when the lights went out. Oh well, time for a :coldone:.

started hearing cracking noises out front somewhere and went to investigate. Watched it come down!

tree is too big to get in one shot! 80' plus! good thing its 100 feet to the house.

my 2023 firewood for the shop! got to go to the farm where i left my chain saw and get the loader tractor or the skid steer. loader tractor is easier on the lawn, but i have a grapple bucket for the skid steer.......decisions, decisions

I would be looking around for any other suspect trees while you have the equipment handy. That tree could have been a home wrecker.

So, last night I was FB'ing, and checked the marketplace. Hey, those 10 bags are back up for grabs. The guy is dang near impossible to hook up with - he doesn't get home until 8:30pm. BUT, he said he would hold them for me until Saturday - SWEET. If that holds, I'll post pics to prove it :)

The Blazers are a nice pellet but I don't think they are 100% DF. That said, they're still better than most softwoods available on the East Coast.

got power back last night toward midnight. Cut up about half of the tree. underneath the top is the well, which was untouched. two branches were flanking it but not big enough to have done much damage.

I'm going to take the hickory next to it that has 3 large branches hanging. going to try to pull the branches off with the loader tractor first, then rope it to a snatch block down the hill and up to the road. give it a tug while son Dave cuts it.

Those weren't up there earlier today (lunchtime).

EDIT - oh, those were put up 7/27. If I was still going to the office to work, I probably would have snagged them up. But not worth a 40 mile drive (one way) to get middling pellets.
