Ok all my peppers like green bell , red bell , sweet banna, jalapeno are starting to come on. I need a good pepper relish recipe. Like Hungarian Relish.
couldn't stand the wait so went looking for recipes http://www.food.com/recipe/pepper-relish-188010 Too many jalapenos in this for me. I prefer sweet green relishes. Found this one for me. http://www.cooks.com/recipe/jw1jw51e/sweet-pepper-relish.html
My buddy makes all kinds of random relishes(his recipes are created with help of Keystone Light) with the numerous peppers he grows - I've had a jar of his Habanero-Muscadine which was more of a jelly but it was good.
I have a (sweet) zucchini relish recipe that would probably work for peppers. Just need to get the sugar and acid content right so it is shelf stable. I've added a few jalapenos to it before and it was amazing on brats....
Here is the stuff I buy when I can find it. I put it in a bowl of chili to give the chili some extra spark. But its not real hot. http://store.sechlerspickles.com/sweet-mild-hungarian-pepper-relish-p18.aspx
Found an interesting Banana Pepper Recipe for Stuffed Banana Peppers. I might have to try this. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/bobs-stuffed-banana-peppers/detail.aspx One person commented about the recipe with his own easy version: "I made this recipe with some slight alterations to save time and it is GREAT!!! #1, for the filling I only buy 1# of hot sausage and cut it in half while still in the package and I freeze the other half in a ziplock bag for next time. Next I add 1 egg, 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, and a cup of breadcrumbs. This much stuffing will fill about a dozen medium sized peppers. The recipe's filling is for WAY more than 8 peppers, so it's better to cut it in half. I still clean and boil the pebbers for 5 minutes and once they're stuffed, I put them in a casserole dish and cover them with purchased spaghetti sauce and bake. When done I cover with shredded mozzarella cheese. It's WONDERFUL!"
