Some small Questions about an Enviro Mini?

    Hello

    Just grabbed an old Mini - MFD Nov 2006

    Checked the manual and it does not say anthing about this.

    1. Why is there a hole in the side of the hopper? See pics 2 & 3

    2. What is the bracket on the back right corner for?
    Holding some tool?

    Is there anyway to increase the room blower speed above the heat level speed for each setting?
    Can it be on full speed for the heat level settings below 5?

    Also what is the difference between the Mini and the Mini-A?

    Mini-A has everything the Mini has plus:
    1. Newer Control Panel with Combustion and Feed Trim buttons for all heat levels.
    2. A wider burn pot and liner to keep unburned pellets from bouncing out.
    3. An ash pan with a round knob latch that latches.

    The above can be put in the old Mini to make it run better.

    Anything Else?

    You pretty much nailed it,do not know about hole in hopper,but need to change burn pot holder also,and need to change stove side panel for updated control panel.Was told some time ago that the bracket was to hang the burn pot scraper on,but nobody ever got this tool?

    The mini is a beast of a stove. :)

    As for the holder? I would guess a burn pot tool? The hole? Couldn't tell ya? Looks like a wire, or a tube of some sort should go through there?

    #1-Might of had a hopper lid switch? I've never seen one with this though!!

    #2-The bracket is reference number 20(see tech manual-part number 50-1177) which is the handle bracket(holder). If you un screw the handle it fits in this bracket. For some reason they thought it would be a safety to remove handle so no one would open the door during operation. AFAIK, It wasn't used by many. Maybe if they had small children???

    Thanks guys.
    I was thinking hopper lid switch wire for the hole too! Yes the fire door handle just pulls out and fits into this bracket perfectly!

    Never put a stove in a bedroom. Do the words CO poisoning while you sleep get your attention? :doh:

    My neighbor has a propane gas fireplace in her bedroom in her new house! How does that get the green light when inspected? What if the standing pilot goes out? As long as you have a CO detector with a good battery it is ok?
    A pellet stove is safer than that!
