I'm watching major network channels via AmazonFire, and yes it's been blanking out a lot. Tired of the unplugging reboot routine.

Oh Lordy, the commercials for Sling were funny. A play on words, substituting "swingers" for "slingers". "Hey you two, wanna sling tonight? Bring your mother, it'll be fun.."
Do a quick search, a number of funny commercials.

Question- are they installing new cell towers around you?
They're being installed all over the place here, and my reception, satellite, and even land lines have been impacted.

I'll have to research... Where do I look? I can tell you that I now get signal at the bus stop which is new in the last 6 mon or year. And I bought a thing for high speed satellite that says 5g.

IIRC there are several new ones in town and a new one west of me. The one west of me is in the middle of nowhere in the mountains......

I had no idea, went back to my old avatar. I thought the car was funny, but, I don't want to portray something else I was not aware of.

3000 gallons is 25000lbs, then add all the pumps, hoses, and tons of equipment on a firetruck, and its gonna be pretty damm heavy.

I am quite jealous. It was 73, and 88% humidity this morning. Hopefully the sun dries things out today.

I actually just got back from Molly's house. As soon as the sun came out, the humidity evaporated pretty quickly. Its a very comfortable morning.

    "Spruce, Fir and Pine"

"Now and then someone comes from the city,
Face buried in a video game.
I can't tell you too much about them,
Where they come from they all look the same.
They don't look around their surroundings,
The smartphone's the world to their eyes.
And if they don't get their something for nothing,
They wear a blank look of surprise.
They say there's nothing out here, we locals must be out of our mind,
To live way out here in the land,
Of the spruce, fir and pine.

Well I might be the one who's not normal,
But from what I've been able to see,
Normal ain't nothing to be proud of,
And it's nothing that I'd like to be.
Cause normal folks don't have the patience,
To so much as give you the time,
And that's why I choose to live among
    The spruce, fir and pine.

In some parts of town there's a big mall,
And they drama queen away all their time,
They loiter and sit, 14 hours and a bit,
Every day and they hardly spend a dime.
They sit in the arcade and bullS#!t,
Till they turn off the bright neon sign.
But I find a much truer friendship
With the spruce, fir and pine.

And then there's the showroom subdivisions,
Built with mostly coarse sawdust and glue,
The siding tends to blow off them,
When the wind reaches about sixty-two.
And the houses crowd with each other,
    Almost identical, single file line.
Makes me sick, I'm quite happy living
With the spruce, fir and pine.

And twenty minutes down the avenues,
    Buildings stand 2 stories tall,
Some of the occupants weigh so much,
    It's a wonder the buildings don't fall.
They smoke cheap roll your own cigarettes,
Never worked a day in their life.
They lounge all day with no regrets,
School kids, house husband, house wife.
They got a newly shingled roof overhead,
And it's all on the taxpayers dime,
But I build my own life out here,
With the spruce, fir and pine.

My home looks like no other,
And it's socially distant like me,
I only have a small few neighbors,
And our lifestyle is wild and free.
We got privacy in the yard,
Don't go in to just to self-relieve,
We're gifted with the wonders of nature,
And we try to give back as we receive.
    It's endured the years wonderfully,
This perfectly imperfect home of mine,
It was built with its natural surroundings,
    Spruce, fir and pine.

When I take a walk round the block,
I leave the blacktop paved road behind,
I lose my cell phone signal, but you know what,
    I really don't mind.
    It's not man's creation I gaze at,
    It's a gift from a superior power,
No human can build such beauty,
As one simple small yellow flower.
In front of me lies the rocky trail,
Much the same as it so does behind,
To my right roars the salmon hole river,
To my left are the spruce, fir and pine.

Was a time, we didn't have iron,
To build structures that reach to the sky,
And a time when we didn't have plastic,
But if we lost it now would we survive?
Before we found oil and electricity,
Only way we were warm wintertime,
    Was the crackling, glowing sacrifice,
    Of spruce, fir and pine.

Honestly, far as my own species,
Less is more, is what I tend to find.
I trust a wild beast more,
Than a crowd that turns faceless and blind.
One thing I've always been glad for,
But only more so with passage of time,
I'm grateful that most of my neighbors,
    Are spruce, fir and pine.

When one day I'm called six feet under,
    Don't overspend by a dime.
I don't need no fancy foreign timbers,
Like the body, the box rots over time.
Say your true feelings in farewell,
Save your money, should you fall on hard times,
And lower me away in a box,
Made of spruce, fir and pine"

Yea it is. And I think that's why it's pretty tough truck to drive. Not enough weight
