I dont know how I missed it, (probably because I was vacuuming glass of my lawn when it came through) but I just saw your text from Saturday. I realized that I left my sledge hammer (and probably a gatorade bottle next to it, sorry Dave!) where I was working sometime yesterday.

I think most houses are full time by the look of it. There's a bakery and a motel/restaurant, small gas station, probably most other people work in the park or commute elsewhere

Yesterday evening it was dead calm here...and an oak branch fell from a tree and landed on my BIL's house. Now when I say branch, it was really a tree that broke off from an even bigger tree. I was cutting with a 461 and the 25" bar couldn't get all the way through the base of the branch. Structurally everything seems fine, but there are several holes in the roof, gutter and soffit are cooked, and a little vinyl siding will need to be replaced.

The scary part was there are usually 5 or 6 little kids playing in that are at any point throughout the day....but yesterday they weren't there.

I need to take a better look today, but usually when a branch breaks off like that from the base of the crown, the whole crown gets severely weakened. The rest of the tree may need to come down.

Interesting, my counties emergency alerts only works sometimes. I just received a severe thunderstorm warning under clear skies. Shrug shoulders.

Finally got the FJ towed, I'm going with Cooper Discovery t something 3 in 10 ply (our unkept gravel road we live on). I did not order online, just too convenient to get it sent there and let them do it, WWW uses them for shop's vehicles.

I've been rumbling around in the blaze, wow is that still comfy after all these years :)

Glad the kids weren't outside. We had a huge oak do something similar. Luckily it is down in the field and didn't hurt anything, 2 big parts of the crown have broken out. IMG_20160304_112506786_HDR.jpg
That was one limb/part of the crown. IMG_20160304_112520440.jpg
