Here are a few pics of the view from the front deck looking to the north Summer Winter Spring Fall Sunset looking north west
Love that winter shot G. I spent many winters out in your neck of the woods, I miss it. Here's the view from the top of my property, where I do most of my cutting...
Not as dramatic as the western landscapes. View of the southwest mountains from the driveway. My house is in the center clump of tress. Alfalfa field looking back the other way. Looking down to the pond from the yard.
I don't have much of a view compared to what some of you guys have but at least the visitors are worth looking at. This pic has about half of them in the frame. First pic is out the kitchen window looking towards the pond. Second pic is about 100 yards from the house at the lake.
The views aren't spectacular here, but I never get tired of looking out the window. Being in a river valley, we get a lot of morning fog, it's really nice watching it rise off the river.
Thanks G, that's looking across the Strait of Juan de Fuca, over the San Juan Islands, and that's Mt. Baker, which has been a huge part of my life for decades. We might have mountains, but you guys and your pastoral farmlands are awesome to me. I've never really been east of the Rockies other than a short jaunt in NYC, and I think you guys got it going on for sure. I'm road tripping through all that country in a couple weeks on my way to D.C., and honestly I'm most excited about seeing the heart land and all those great views you guys have.
That is a million dollar view. I often drive to a coastal spot, park the car, open the window to let the sound and smell of the ocean clear my head from stress. My view is trees and more trees, but then, that is what tis is all about!
