I have 2/3 PU full of splits to stack in the full sun and am dreading doing it. Reminds me of my full time roofing days, id rotate through 3-4 white shirts several times during the day. Joe, have you ever tried one of these? I discovered them this year. $10 on the Walmart website. I didnt think a shirt could make that big of a difference, but now im hooked. Ill never wear a "normal" T shirt in the hot weather again. Try one you'll like it. Comes in several colors.
Not that particular brand but I have a few dri fit shirts and they end up the same way but do dry out much faster
If you include refueling the tractor plus saws and watering moms flowers, I did make it till noon. Drank a gallon and a half of liquids in 5.5 hours. Truck thermometer bounced between 94-95 on the 10 minute ride home. Pool time!
I do roof leak repairs.When it's this hot I hit the job at 5am and get out of there before 11 am.No heat stroke for me.
Hats off to you jrider and anyone working in the heat. I was planning on getting two loads of oak today. Cutting these logs is half a pain in the rear because of their size and position on a bank. And the rounds are a total pain in the rear because I need to split them just to be able to move them. I got one load and came home to eat lunch. Don't know if I can do another run. I'm hoping it thunderstorms to give me an excuse.
Nice shirt! I used to live a half mile from the Manayunk Brew Pub in my post college years. The body is good at adapting to conditions if you treat it right. Seems you have the hot weather formula down to a science.
