Hahaha! When I rented the HD truck it was raining and one of the tires was super low on air. Had to waste some time pumping it up.

Super stoked about buying the Tacoma. It's a v-6 4x4 manual tranny so oodles of fun to drive.

Couldn't takewtake haulingihauling wood inmin Sienna minivan any longer. Taking out those middle seats actually ended hurting my back really bad.

    Thanks!

I have two cages without totes that I hold cutoffs, shorties, and uglies in for donation or the fire pit.

Talked to my best friend, Lefty, about this and he thinks a friend of his may be able to get us some free totes. I will try to keep you updated and thank you for the ideas.

    Teamwork at it's best.

That's awesome man! Happy to help.

Sharing the knowledge and helping others is how it's supposed to work - unlike my c**t of a neighbor who has no brains nor class.

20180309_163919.jpg this is my kindling bin, an IBC tank with a door and a few drain holes in the bottom.
The tank bakes any splitter trash into paper dry kindling in one summer

Nice! You need to put a spare cabinet knob on that flap. Make it super *legit*. :dex:

I'll cut off some of my cage and do the flap as well for my kindling. As it is now I wouldn't be able to reach to the bottom of it once it starts getting used up. Thanks for the inspiration! :coldone:

I think I'll put a small flat piece of 1 x 3 behind the flap, secured by the screw for the knob. That will enable me to "lock it" closed. Heh heh.

Ok so I definitely overthought it the first time around. I had all this extra hardware from taking apart my swingset...and I figured I'd re-use the hinges from the door of the swingset. However, the plastic is not that strong and the second go around (on the one right next to the first one) I just cut two vertical slits, and cut two pieces of 1x3 to hold it in place. Works amazing.

The first one was flopping all over the place even with both hinges installed. Initially I only did one hinge.

    Here's the first one........

And here's the second one which took like 8 minutes to do as opposed to 40. I wanted the flap to flap downwards because I feel like it will be much easier to get to the bottom of the tote.

Well LordOfTheFlies If you ever change your mind about using these containers for kindling, you will always have the worlds largest colanders. I bet you could strain 300lbs of Penne pasta in those bad boys :chef:  .....:salute:

I have a coat hanger on top to hold the flap open for loading, most of the time I let it drop shut. Even latched open, hardly any rain or snow gets in

Saw an ad on Craigslist less than an hour old. Said they had 30 of them, but only 6 available, all the rest spoken for. After loading they said we should check Monday and will allow us to take any that are left.
Also found a place 90 miles away that has them for $20 each. Plan on calling them to see about a quantity discount.
