so the yellow crimp connector is 12-10ga on to 18ga wire in the junk harness the body co.installed.....this is nothing new...just i usually dont post all the nonsense
I hope whoever's doing the welding has got good insurance. 110 v hazard fraught mig welder. By a guy who believes gasless mig exists. See it a lot and can't believe people are proud of their work.
So does that end up being warranty work paid for by the dealer or manufacturer or does your customer get stuck with the bill? I can't imagine your customers are happy paying to have something fixed that should have been correct when they originally bought it...
I'm not fixing it....it was here for a custom pipe rack,I was under it hooking up some aux lights. The hitch wont fall off,it has bolts thru the frame, just chitty work.
I think I could come up with some better pigeon poo than that by sticking a welding rod in the end of an extension cord!
The first pic is of a stabilizer jack on an RV. The same guy made his own 5th wheel hitch for his pick up. I wish I had a picture of it. Not only is the welding bad, but the engineering of it is horrible.
I actually have an upper end well known brand of wood heat related product (shall remain nameless) in my garage for repair right now...where 2 panels were supposed to be welded together, they missed the seam...80-90% of the weld is on one side...yeah, it finally popped apart, pretty cleanly too You are only as good as your worst employee I guess...
