Lay off the mulberries then! All kidding aside some nice loads of logs. Id feel the same if i cut those.
Nice load Screwloose Brings back memories as it's been a few years since I got a really good truck load.
Been a long time since I've had a good craigslist scrounge. All white oak. Probably another 3 trucks loads, will need 4x4 next time. This stuff is heavy! I had to use the fiskars to chop the rounds in half to lift. Guy wants it gone and says I have dibs.
4 miles from home. The CL posting didn't have pics but this is on of the best scores I've come across. It was stinkin hot, I drank a ton of water and even brought pickle juice to drink. When I was just about done the heat finally broke. Ill be back at it tonight if the rain holds off.
As I'm having to stack the logs for later date processing 4' seems to work best. Any longer and the crooks and bows get too wacky to stack nice and shorter the stack is a lot less stable. Its nice to see the air being able to pass straight through.
That's what I am doing in the woods at work...there is just so much EAB ash right now...cutting the down trees into 40" long pieces and stacking them up off the ground on small limbs in the woods...it'll keep much longer that way...go load it up later when I have more room
We cut some last year @ 6'. Easier to get out the narrow road, and could stack both ways on the dump trailer.
