    Got a tri axle of logs the other day, most of which I can identify by sight (lots of ash & beech) but this one I’m not quite sure about:

    The bark looks like honey locust. But honey locust wood is typically darker than that. So I’m not sure. Branch wood tends to have a lighter grain - and that looks like branch wood. So maybe HL?
