I saw a pallet with their pellets with a $3 sign.
I never tried this brand before but assume at that price I should buy this pallet.

Well I don’t think they are a very popular product, I remember years ago some folks bought some where the pellets were a little long. If you are suggesting they are bad like they got wet or have excess fines, that’s something you would need to determine by having a bag in your possession.

Agree in spirit but tough to do in July when it’s 80-90 degrees out every day. Unfortunately, not the ideal time to be pellet testing...

At 3 bucks??? All day long!!! Would, in the very least, be good for shoulders....

Yup and if they are *really* no good, use them as pet litter.

There are 2 different pellets with Nature in the name. Natures Heat and Natures Own. The Heat are shoulders pellets at best. The Own are a little better, though certainly not high heat, low ash. Both are usually sold at box stores.

Go get some, even if only to say you’ve tried them. I’d buy them all. If no good, in the litter box they go. Still cheaper than regular animal bedding/litter.

Ugh, that's Pennington plastic chit. I wouldn't let the cat pizz on them* - let alone try to burn 'em. :jaw: (*) Because I like the cat. :D

Save your money, time and fuel there Geek!

I tried a couple bags of the Pennington Natures Heat this past winter. If I remember correctly there is an additive in the pellet. The heat was good though they did burn dirty and seemed to burn fast. However, I would burn a ton worth at that price ($3), so what if you have to clean a bit more.

Yes, look behind the price sign, one is spilling wet sawdust pellet remnants.

I bought these last year for my 25pdvc stove they burned with a ton of ash...so I mixed them in with some turman pellets..you might have to mix them too.. heat was good though just really a lot of ash.
