General Mills in Buffalp smells like Fruit Loops.
There's a sugar beet processor near Saginaw that smells like peanut butter

    Has this site been down?
Been trying for what seems to be a week to get on.
Smoked some moose burgers last week, not picture worthy but were real good. Smoking a couple of shoulder steaks right no 20200707_172205.jpg for dinner and lunch meat.

So for our annual July 4th get together, with my buddy and his wife... he wanted a Prime Rib... he’d buy it... my job was to cook it..... well it was just shy of 12lb - 4bone cut... he’s already requested another in the future...

i had it set on 185 F... ran probably close to 195-215 most of the run.. had to put a box fan to keep the temperature at bay....due to I’m guessing the extreme heat and no air movement...

SKEETER McCLUSKEY ....did you only cook a few burgers, or a lot? Wondering in terms of the griddle sustaining the heat...

I tried smashburgers last night for the first time. Don't have a griddle, so used a large 16" cast iron pan on the weber. Preheated a while...cheap temp gun said about 550 when I started. The first couple burgers got the crust and cooked like I expected and wanted. Had me excited. The further along I went, the burgers would not crust. Temped when I was almost done, pan was showing 250-300. I lost the heat in the pan, but I couldnt wait between batches for it to get back hot enough. Was discouraged at the end. They tasted ok, just not what I was hoping for.

The burger was a mix of farm raised (2 lbs) that was probably around 90/10ish and deer burger (1 lb). So iI know I didnt use the optimal fat content meat, but we eat leaner burgers...
