It really depends on what the customer wants...cooking/smoking wood, bark vs no bark, how far to deliver. Trailer load of logs will be close to a load split.

Glad y'all are having better weather. We got some CSS earlier this year, working on a couple projects, 1 being a new woodshed, should hold about 9 or so cords...

That looks like it’s gonna just cave right in when the stacks go on. Better shore that sucker up!

We haven't split or stacked any lately, have made good progress on the wood shed, "Wood shed floor" thread. We have been adding more to the log supply. We went back to the house building site Wednesday, dropped all the trees that day, we managed to get almost 2 loads hauled before thunderboomer with frog strangler rain shut us down.
1st load, mostly hickory, 2 small oaks and 2 logs of jrider favorite tree black gum......maybe buZZsaw BRAD can split it. 0610201437.jpg 2nd load, hickory and 2 smaller gum logs, I think. 0610201932.jpg

We went to the home site and got another load of hickory, oak and a couple cherry logs. Had to pull this out of the pile before they burn it, worked hard for this load. He came by and used his dozer to get more out for the next load. 0626201732_HDR.jpg

I don't know, brother. That pile had VERY LITTLE shade, as in 1 tree about 10' tall and Miz Carol had that occupied...lol...it got HUMID and HOT. I was drinking water and Gatorade. Still wound up with a splitting headache. Just took a long time to get a load. My friend said he wished he had thought of us before he piled it up.
On the plus side, his FIL has given us a ton more hickory

Buzz Benton I ran the 461 on this load, didn't get a video, small wood and to hot in that field. I have some 30"+ oak logs I will do a video on. It will let the neighborhood know when it's running with the DP muffler.

We got an early start Tuesday morning and went back to the home site again to get more wood out of the pile. Got a load of hickory and oak done and home about 12:30. 0630201253_HDR.jpg
It was WARM by then...lol... 0630201308.jpg
We would go to our son's house in the evenings when he got home and work on his porch and roof. Got done with Wednesday night at 10:30. 0701201943.jpg 0701201943a.jpg We put on the roof, extended the gable so he has a porch now, added the picket fence to it and built wide steps. 0701201955_HDR.jpg 0701202139.jpg My namesake grandson had to try on Grandaddy's hat...he will be 2 on the 8th. He loves his porch. I had a busy but blessed 7 days off. 0630202239a.jpg
