It's 91° here now and I'm dropping trees. I'm really liking having compressed air on the tractor. Sweat is causing chips to stick all over me. Whoever said firewood warms you twice either can't count or was way up north.

The highest temp I saw was 89 going into Massena today, we had 87 back here in the woods.

Humidity is pretty low so that helps a lot.

I love the 680, 8 years on it and not one hiccup. After the first start of the day the shortest little tug and its off and running.

I waited until it “cooled” down to 84* tonight before I went and got a couple more tops ready to log arch out of that select cut area. Glad I took drink in with me, my sweatband bandanna was so wet it was dripping constantly, had to keep taking it off and wringing it out.

But there are many, many places where you can camp free too. No, there are not the things most people want but if you wish to get away, there are many places. When we had our motor home, we very rarely paid a campground fee. Nice.

Yep, I ran it a little last week. We went back Tuesday to the home site clearing and got another load of hickory and oak before they burn it this coming week. Got there about 8 am, had a little shade, by 10 it was gone. Got home about 12:30. Glad we had a big cooler with us...
Funny how my hunny thought it was so HOT out getting wood, but it wasn't to bad about 4-5pm when I was on the roof of our son's house...:headbang: 0630201253_HDR.jpg 0630201308.jpg 0701201955_HDR.jpg
