I had to “use website” that was deemed unsafe then it let me in with no issues. May be a while till everyone else figures out how to get back in
I can get in but there is till a problem with the site certificate. I will be patient but it is a pain in the butt working around it for now.
You still have to put in a safety exception for this site. New cert still not active, at least for Firefox.
only a select few were able to bust into here.........maybe we should start a little "underground" club.....the "X" files
No this site is not safe, it causes all sorts of issues. Purchases of saws & equipment that no sane person needs. Excessive sweating & work. Neighbors that stare at woodpiles on your property, weird people that sit around in shorts & tee shirts in January when others are bundled up in their homes. Myriad other issues that I can't even think of right now, but it's never broken my computer or stolen my bank info.
I am sure the cert issue will be fixed shortly. I had an issue with a site that was using Let's Encrypt free certs; they expire in three months and you usually have the cert bot to renew automatically. However, I couldn't get it to renew through the Let's Encrypt cert bot. I did find a site that offers free certs that you can manually installed; I think it was zeroSSL. From what I understand, Let's Encrypt can't be manually installed. Yearly certs have come way down in price from the $400.00 a year days. I may just buy a cert; around $12 to $15, one domain with www, so that isn't bad at all to install and not have to worry for a year. If Let's Encrypt did six months, it wouldn't be so bad but every three months and if it doesn't renew you get what members are facing here; warnings that scare away your members. Google forced everyone to encrypt everything when really only parts of a website needs to be encrypted, not everything.
We've been working with the host, doing a complete software upgrade but they are taking their good old time.
In a nutshell, yes we are safe, being encrypted by a 3rd party SSL (per what the server tech explained to me) but we need to make some major updates and migrate to a more modern server. Growing pains suck. We are working very hard on the issue, you have our most sincere apologies everyone. Bear with us....
