Big pin oak blew down back in April. Finally dry enough where it is laying to start getting it home. Truckload and 16ft. Trailer load today. About another trailer load left.
While I understand the boss is always right sometimes you gotta get while the gettins good. Blame it on me Truck and 16 foot trailer. That’s a lotta wood. Just keepa go.

That's the plan. Just have to stay a step ahead of the boss. She wanted some things done to the house. Metal roof is being put on the 1st week of July as well as siding. That ought to keep her happy for awhile
Thanks, i couldnt tell what it is. I see it mustve been wet when photo taken. Thats what threw me as its "shiny"
The only caution I'd give would be to put something under the rubber to keep it level rather than having pockets where water will sit. Water turns into ice which could mean some problems during winter months. I used rubber once. It did okay but in the end, I decided that because it is so heavy I just did not want to wrestle with it again. The galvanized roofing we use is much lighter and does an excellent job for us.
Property owner also has 2 very large dead ash he wants gone. The neighbor and I will take care of those this fall.
Ron T Do you keep the smaller limb wood mixed in with the larger splits or do you keep them separate for shoulder season? Some of it almost looks like kindling size. It is nice clean looking wood
