    Juneuary is just lovely....

Running the little stove all night...
Looks like we are going to get several more days of cool/wet weather.
I am getting rather tired of this early MARCH weather....I really want to get after outdoor things that require decent weather.....

I got my money out of this mower blade - from my Craftsman mower. Yeah, I know it is bad for grass to run them this bad, but I not only hate grass, both lawns I mow are mostly weeds anyway.

    Worn mower blade.jpg

Pretty proud of myself - first time I've changed one of those suckers. Hardest part was finding a 22" blade. TSC - nope only had blades for riders. Hardware Store - nope, no blades at all. HD 30 miles away - again, only rider blades. Lowes in same city as closest HD - nope, nothing at all. And that was it for my search last weekend. To be fair, the stores that only had blades for riders had big empty spots where push mower blades would have been.

This past Thursday I was out in ManchVegas for Dentist and eye appointments and stopped at the HD that is normally 40 miles away from me (but only adds a couple of miles to my trip from Manch I I take highway home). Finally, scored a generic 3 in 1 blade there. Had about a billion adapters with it, and surprise, surprise, one of them fit

  That and the rocks, and tree roots. Doesn't help that the neighbors lawn gets torn up every year by the plow guy. I'm too lazy to try to rake down the mounds of rocky sand that get hard packed, so the mower eventually wear them down to below blade level too. Yeah, the air filter gets cleaned out a couple of times at the beginning of the season.

Plenty of supply side issues these days. We usually get a hardware order every week.....now its down to once very two weeks...so, alot of empty spaces for hardware.....I would guess that might be part of the issue. More folks "working from home" these days, which means that they are able to do more home projects....things they normally had no time for.....they suddenly do.

I have a set of blades on my 3 point mower that look about as good..

46" 3 point and we drag that thing over brush, scotch broom, black berries....rocks and everything in between..

Always seems like whatever you need....nobody local has it....

Anyone notice the timestamps on forum posts are off by 5 hours lately? At least the ones I have made are stamped like they were left 5 hours before they were. Wondered if maybe some recent forum update leave the time display format forced to a specific timezone. jtakeman any admin chatter about this?

    Who's fixin it?

Also of interest - the posts I have noticed today that are off, are off by 5 hours...Maybe the observed offset depends on the local timezone you (your browser) are configured for. Here I am EDT...

The software has a time shift, give it a new clock and it'll be fine.

45 degrees here this morning. Chilly for the middle of June. Looks like we have 2 more nights of the nice cool weather before Mother Nature turns up the heat and humidity dials.
