Finished cutting the load I got back in March. Have I said lately that I love my forks! What a back saver!
Rock farming today. I had to roll one and it balanced on edge when I stopped so I left it for now. I was able to just lift the other with it chained to the bucket. It’s the second one over the bank in the second picture. Lots of landscaping to do...
I was talking with a guy at work the other day about the amount of rocks I have on my property. He told me people pay money for rocks. I asked him to send them my way I’ll give them all they like. Haven’t seen anybody yet.
Well, renting one can let you know what size you need to purchase Too small, you may get frustrated Too large, your just spending extra money.
Rent different sizes see what size works for your property then the too big ones does big jobs while you got it!!
That’s a good point. Why buy the big one for just a job or two! Thanks for the advice. I’m sure I’ll be coming back for more as the time nears
I have a list of answers to this question....I will keep them to myself mainly because I can't afford a tractor!! lol
I agree!! But let’s say you only got 3/4 of an acre a 100hp would be just a little overkill also don’t be like my neighbor and go from 35 to 55 to 75 hp in John Deere full cab cause I need a lil bigger!! Every 3 years.
brush hoging ? then at lest 30 plus hp seen 20hp units with 4ft mowers , personal experience 25 hp 6ft finish mower I'm a little shy hp wise in the tall stuff. tilling depending on the tiller size same deal. but something in the 40-50hp class can get most everything done with in reason. Hydro static drive is nice for a l0t of back and forth stuff- trade off on hp to pto hp wise though. some units are gear drive with a power shift function in a range where you do not need to clutch between forward or reverse. Bunch of the new stuff have CV trannies now - jury still out on those.
