The demolition has not started yet, but getting close. Not sure if we can make the cutoff to build this year or not. It’s a short window to build. And we are not going to settle, we are building what momma wants.

Thanks for the pictures Tom. Yes, that park is beautiful. I'd love to get back there again.

Dude. We also got 5” in my area two nights ago. We knew it was supposed to get cold. So my wife and I covered her veggie garden and flowers, the night before. Thank goodness we did. The snow was heavy and wet! Everything seems to have survived though.

Our snow is gone as of this morning. Most of our flowers made it. Just a few choke cherry branches broke off. Now we have the evening grosbeaks eating all the flowers.

What's up with this "dude" thing Cash ? :santa:
It's generational , such as "...going to a dude ranch..." Otherwise never used.:salute:

  Wow, blast from the past, DUDE was used around this area extensively years ago. Typically in the context of, "Dude, stop bogartin' that _____."

It is generational, I suppose. I grew up snowboarding and riding dirt bikes. Still do. It’s common, friendly terminology among that crowd. Sometimes I use dude when I’m excited. I’ll stop if it offends you. I just wasn’t sure what you meant by beating a dead horse. I’ve never used dude on here before that I’m aware of

Not offensive here... LOL I grew up in the era of mini-bikes (Rupp Rules...) and skiing a lot (not that Ohio is a skiing meca), what's a snowboard... LOL I love nostalgia, I still use LOL... I may have gray hair, sore shoulders, knees, and back, but I still get out the boost bottled, ported Blaster and wheelie all over the farm (spark arrestor be dammed) in between loads of firewood and playing on the sawmill. I may be 60+ on the outside, but I never have and surely never will... grow up...

Oh yeh, to keep from derailing the thread... Weather is sunny and beautiful today with highs in the 70s over the weekend. Fantastic weather. Burning nothing inside but we'll probably have BIG bonfire over the weekend. I may even torch on of the big "nature piles" for an event to be seen from space.

No offense taken...it's just weird for us three score and some types.
    See "FUBAR".
Usage: " You going to the dude ranch this summer... bud". ( Oxford English Dictionary )

Summer is acoming at last. Finally got some downpours yesterday with one burn pile done ( with some help from 5W-30 oil from the Outback ).
Mozzies are blooded but deer flies not yet.

Way too warm for any indoor burning here. I wouldn't even want to light a candle indoors today. Tomorrow night I'm going to light up the outdoor pit with everything I can, starting with the huge mound of sawdust I've generated over the weather.png past couple weeks.

Been a warm day and a friend of a friend dumped this in my garden last week . Spent a few hours this afternoon cutting some of it into lengths for my small fire . 6225F68E-7195-427D-8C12-9FFB563E2975.jpeg 1DFB4A5A-7E68-45B1-BA5C-D4540A4641F1.jpeg

Not bad last night; only down to 46. Might be in 30's tonight. At 1:00 it reached 60 and a beautiful day it is! Worked in garden but had to come in for a break. Would love to spend the next month in these temperatures. Man, I miss the UP!
