    I found these two small saplings along my drive down to the old foundation. The leafs looked unique so I looked it up and I think they are shingle oak's? I had a couple large trees in the woods that I thought were sasafrass because of the bark, but now I think they may be shingle oak's also because they have the same leafs as these two saplings...

    What do you guys think?

    I'm still not sure. The leafs are odd looking for an oak tree and the bark on the big ones are a dead ringer for sasafrass.

    Looks like Pawpaw. Smell some crushed leaves, should have a strong skunky odor.
