I do enjoy playing with the drone.....and its limitations. I have a Mavic Air....its my first drone. I kinda wished I had gone to a Pro, but this was cheaper, got a deal. I feel its somewhat limited in range, especially when theres leaves on the trees. Of course we need to be responsible drone owners and fly within sight, and not too high, which I try and do....generally theres a sweet spot between 200 and 400'.......the trees here give us issues, but its safe at that height (except for power lines). One must remember that datum is where one takes off...so, if you end up travelling UPHILL, you need to be mindful of that fact, or have avoidance turned on. I was flying around in Maine a while back, near Nubble light.....well, the wind was bad.....yea, I was getting warnings about the wind, but THAT was nice flying....no trees. I got about a mile out over the ocean there. Barely had the power to get back to the beach.

The limitations for me is the cold (trying to manipulate joysticks when its 15 degrees out), and looking at my cellphone screen in bright light.

Also occurs to me this should be in the hobbies section!

Friend of mine uses the Tractor Supply horse bedding pellets. They go on sale occasionally, but even better, wait for a broken bag & make them an offer......I got one for him for $1 once, and it was mostly still full. But even at $5.99, still way cheaper than the stuff at the grocery stores. And the cat doesn't seem to care one way or the other.

Took care of the wood chuck problem, slowed it down and gave it a head shot. It was a nursing mother. Its new address is Bear's recycle pile.

Need suggestions. It's warmed up enough here to turn the stove off. I have an exhaust vent by my desk where I sit and it reeks like a campfire and bothers my nose and throat.

It was a cooking vent at some point in the past. If I walk around the living room, the smell is all over there, not the other side of the room.

I don't have my garden in as yet, but will any time now. We didn't get the frost, it was spotty. But the cold is almost as bad for tender plants. It sets them back. Best to wait a bit. They catch up fast. Didn't run the heat even though it was in the 30's. My house doesn't heat up fast or cool down fast so all is good. It is 80 F now, but the house is comfortable even with the windows open. I keep a fan on me most of the time because of breathing issues.

Cool/cold weather and rain is back......
64 F in the house a bit ago....started up the little stove....

Normally by this time (Early June) we are shut down and done with stoves, save for a few rare times when we might have a spot fire for a short in the early morning....

    A year with Juneuary...... :picard:
Ran a barrel of shells Thursday and hopefully we will not need any more than that to reach summer shut down....

Relatively cool weather showing through next week.

I hate heat....but some 70 F and dry would be great...

Ran a barrel of shells the other day....
Yesterday we ran the little stove all day and through the night last night..

    Still running this morning.
I am pretty sure that we have never run a stove round the clock in June before.

We have had several days in June that we usually have a little morning fire....but this weather is rather strange for June.

Rain on and off for the next several days... Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Wed, Sat

That long range outlook will likely change before too long......?????

I hate hot weather...but this wet cold in June is cramping my outdoor things....and is burning up shells.....

46 degrees outside this morning. Wasn't expecting it to be that cold. High turned out to be 80. Nice temp swing!
