Spent the morning between the Credit Union and car dealership.
Finally retiring some of the modern junk I have been driving. I was going wood cutting Sunday. My old truck wouldn't start. I am not going to put another dime into. I should have retired it a couple of years ago. Jumped in the Buick and pulled it around tp load the saws. It was feeling right. Flat tire and by the time I stopped the bead came off the rim. Loaded the wife's Kia with the saws and went cutting.
Just tired of fixing before each usage.
I will be riding in the lap of luxury. Bought a 2019 Nissan Frontier. Not a real wood hauler but will have to make a few more trips.

Not at all, haven't even had so much as a date for nearly 7 years and find I don't miss it at all. I'll stick to being the crazy cat lady.

We have been in MPLS for three days visiting/playing with grandson. I spose we could have picked a better time to go up there. But my daughters neighborhood is safe. On the way to find some groceries Sunday morning we did smell tear gas.

smells like a burnt electric motor

Corrosive Effects of Tear Gas Could Intensify Coronavirus Pandemic
SEATTLE — The billowing clouds of tear gas that the authorities are sending through protest crowds across the United States may increase the risk that the coronavirus could spread through the gatherings.

Along with the immediate pain that can cause watering eyes and burning throats, tear gas may cause damage to people’s lungs and make them more susceptible to getting a respiratory illness, according to studies on the risks of exposure. The gas can also incite coughing, which can further spread the virus from an infected person.

Sven-Eric Jordt, a researcher at Duke University who has studied the effects of tear gas agents, said he had been shocked to watch how much the authorities had turned to the control method in recent days.

“I’m really concerned that this might catalyze a new wave of Covid-19,” Mr. Jordt said. The virus has been linked to more than 106,000 deaths in the United States.

Up for our walk this morning and then campinspecter is headed out for a load of firewood. I get to stay at home for work this morning and then into the office for this afternoon. Looks like it is going to be a nice day here.

Still plugging away on the bedroom remodel. Bedroom has paint now....just need flooring and trim. Not sure when the floor will get here, but I have plenty of work to do getting the subfloor prepped before it does. It is way not flat.

Probably start tearing out another bedroom next week, finish it out, then start on the master bath.

Nasty storm coming in. Supposed to have quarter size hail and 60 MPH winds. Not here yet but the lightning is near continuous.

We had that last night. We were lucky. Barely any twigs down, no hail, no crazy rain, covers stayed on the tractor and boat.

Just realized I posted this in the wrong thread this morning. I’m worse for wear than I thought.

I haven’t been on much in recent days. With having to do the bathroom remodel, getting my wife’s car a new turbo and other miscellaneous fires to put out, I’ve been busy. We got the tub installed, the vanity on order and the floor tiles picked out. Straightening out the mistakes the guy who owned the house before us made on the last remodel was, and is, not fun. That and having a house that is slightly off level, not square or plumb is another bump in the road to deal with. Sooner or later it’ll all get done.
