I am a fairly new member here, but we have some major calamities affecting our country and I just wanted to say I am hoping and praying all members and their families are safe and well. I am not trying nor want this to become political, just hoping the best for all of you in your current situations. Be safe and well. Jon
For sure. It is just plain bull that all these cities are ruining things. I never could understand how destroying things could be called a protest. This is why I have never been in favor of a protest when it comes to a crowd. A single protest is okay but more than one can get out of hand to quick. If you have a bone to pick, go straight to where you can pick then go home.
I’ve been talking to the GF and kids the last month or so about this “shutdown” and how it’s going to affect our lives in the near future. GF took it in but I think the kids dismissed it. Younger daughter is a bank teller . I’ve been telling her to get the hell away from it and into a different occupation for years . Tellers are on their last leg with all the automated banking stuff available and the shut down is going to speed up tech geared towards eliminating bank lobby’s. There were riots in a city 30 miles north of here last nite. Older daughter came home from her healthcare job last night saying there are protests on tap for tonight in the city she works in 25 miles east of here. In my life time I’ve never heard of riots in this rural area. Lots of people have been and are becoming pizzed about some leaders who are on a power trip. As much as a conspiracy denier as I am and as middle ground as my political ideologies are I can see it and believe it. If things (economy) don’t get back to normal soon I believe more of this stuff is going to happen. It may take a small revolution to change things . Hopefully innocent lives and property don’t get caught in the middle.
Disappointed in our country but not surprised, some of this has been brewing for a while, thats about as political as i will get.
