In the northeast we’ve been having some absolutely terrific weather. Sunny days with low humidity. I’ve got enough wood to not worry about a wet season leading to poor wood, but I still like seeing these nice dry stretches. I can’t help but think some of my fresher cut wood is pouring out the moisture.
Yep here in Wyoming we had a really nice day today. I have been slowly filling in the empty spots from the wood I used last winter. It is always nice to get active out side again. Next month I will be headed up to the mountains for more beetle kill.
The weather here has been great for drying - temps in the 70s, humidity around 50% or less and a nice breeze going right through my stacks. Got most of the maple I had split and stacked and it’s a nice feeling knowing that the drying is off to a good start
It has been great in the northeast for awhile now! The heat and humidity is about to start creeping up later next week they’re saying. Bound to happen eventually. Hopefully June is nicer than last year.
Looks like we've had our good drying weather for spring. Lots of rain here and looks like lots more on the way. But, rain make things grow!
We've had a few nice days also. Today is one of those might get some rain days. So haven't seen any. Up to about 70. Very little breeze.
We have been kinda cool lately, then GA said "Hold my adult beverage and watch this" We worked on our son's deck for a couple hours in the middle of the day...it was drying something out...ME
The humidity here got down to 12% yesterday afternoon. The weather station in Ottawa said it's the lowest ever humidity recorded and they've been recording it since the 1950's.
Superb drying weather today. The weather was OK in May last year but it then got quite wet in June; hoping the same doesn’t happen this year.
I lived in Florida when I was in my early 20s. Gulf coast, ocean breeze kept the thermometer in the low 90s for most of the summer. Two of my good coworkers were brothers from St. Simons Island Georgia. Being a Yankee, I'd complain about the heat whenever I had to work on my car outside under the blazing sun. They told me how it got so much hotter in GA than FL. Used to say, "In Georgia this time of year it's 8 million degrees outside" I remember driving through parts of Georgia with no A/C in late June when it really did feel like 8 million degrees. You almost need gills to breathe in that humidity too. Hats off to you sir.
