MS391 slow getting back to idle

    I cleaned up the piston and jug, pulled the rings off the piston and cleaned up the grooves and made sure the rings float, replaced the bad bearing with one of the originals. Cleaned all the parts and bearings good and re-assembled the 391 with the scored piston and cylinder. I cut up a big Ash with it over the weekend and it runs pretty much like it did before, pulls hard and sounds good with the muffler mod. Spare saw in a pinch. I'll use it occasionally to keep fresh gas in it, but the new saw will get most of the work since it's lighter.

    I'll keep you posted if it ever craps again. I'm not anticipating it being a prime saw, but it runs and cuts good, for now.
