Yeah, I hear you. 73° and humid here already. Yesterday was a scorcher.

I'll be doing inside work today. Maybe, just maybe I'll work on the garden a little. I need to get some tomato plants, as well as some Italian parsley before I plant my pepper forest in the garden. I might be swimming in guajillo peppers this summer.

We're at 73 now. I was just looking at the stack I need to split. Not sure if Im gonna pick away at it now, or wait until Sunday when the temps cool again. I should probably bite the bullet and get it done.

It's been hot for a couple of days now but this morning is much more uncomfortable as the dewpoint has really shot up. If the dewpoint stays under 60 it usually does not feel bad but get it especially over 70 and then the air is really oppressive. That is what we woke up to today... Not much will get done today because of it and we might even have to run the air conditioner but really don't want to. We've never run the air this early in the season. Usually it is into July before we turn the air on here. Sometimes the later half of June; just depends on the weather.

Yesterday afternoon a thunderstorm moved through and we got another 1.6" of rain which puts us up to 7" or so for the last 2 weeks. Actually, less than 2 weeks.

Yes sir, I've spent MANY hrs on open cab tractors, from Ferguson 35 to Farmall's to the 'Bota now. Finally got some relief when I worked on my cuzn's farm in the '80's, he had JD'S with sun top and 2 with A/C...WHOO...
Long days on the smaller tractors, plowing small corn and soybeans...

91* was my high. Glad I got the A/C in the office window and set up the portable A/C in the living room at 4:30 this morning (yes, AM). Sun is blazing, so even though the air temp has started to decline, the house would still be heating up until the sun sets without the A/C going. As it is, both are set at 69* and they are running full time to keep a steady 72* in their designated rooms. Tomorrow I will have to shut off the bedrooms to reduce from 950sq/ft to about 650 sq/ft of area to cool, as it will be even hotter.

It was like 77 last night when I went to bed. The living room window and kitchen window were open. It was cooling down. Since the bedroom is right off the living room in line with the living room window I left the bedroom door open. Got up at 3 to take care of business and closed the house a bit. It was 73 in the house when I got up. I am surprised the last few days Chaz hasn't turned the ac on. We have one in living room and one in bedroom.
