    great stuff. I love hand splitting ash! :axe:Wish all wood split like it. Although green ash (species, not fresh cut) can be tough at times.

    whitey was that ash a yard tree? I ask because it looks like many did not split really clean.

    I think I have some green ash on the back side of the pile. Kind of a pain, but a great workout! I'm not very good at being able to tell all the varieties apart.

    A yard tree from out in the country. Was behind a buddy's garage. Just huge!! It's been sitting for darn near a year. A few punky parts but I cut those up for their bonfires when the grandkids come over.
