im trying out a set of sumos on my F150. Really just a beefed up bump stop ( jounce block) they are supposed to help keep the bed level while its loaded. I'll know of they work or not after this weekend. 20200520_180755.jpg

I just recently heard of these. Been considering buying a Tacoma and they're one of the products I saw recommended to help with heavy loads.

We used a different product with same idea on my dad's old F250 years ago. They work but the ride will get stiff and rough once they start working. It's a polymer spring.

On my truck I replaced the springs with the largest spring set made for that series of trucks. I have a F150, regular cab, short bed V6. I put springs from a crew cab, v8, with tow package. Went from 2/1 leaf to 4/1 pack. That worked out to almost 2000 pound more spring capacity. Rear sits high and it rides rough. But she sits level when it's fully loaded.

Any updates? Do they change the ride at all when running without a load?

Yesterday I pulled a truck load of fresh cut cherry out of a farmers field. The sumos worked as claimed. They kept my tuck level even though I was way overloaded ( i forgot to take pictures) . When unloaded there is about an inch between the sumo spring and the axle. That keeps the axle moving the way it should when your driving on a smooth road. The ride does get a little harsh when the road gets bad. But over all they worked as advertised.
