Trunks were already on the ground. Occasionally ill find ash thats still alive. Id prefer it with tight bark.

It did and maybe still does, in fact, years ago, in Macon GA, True Temper Tool Co had a mill there that made handles from ash. We never had any on our place and I haven't been lucky enough to find any now. I have a few ash boards at the shop.

I have the same bed conveyor. What a great thing. Picked up a yard of compost last Monday for her gardens.

If you look to the right of the truck, in the background is 2 heaping full bed loads of mulch. Local town has a green waste site and loads free mulch on Wednesdays. 2 big loads hauled and unloaded in an hour.

The little unloader doesn't get it all but it gets 90% before I have to grab a broom or shovel. I wrap the sheet up the front of the bed and tuck it between the cab and bed. That way as the load falls as the sheet moves away from the head board it falls on extra tarp.

I'd like a dump bed insert but I haven't found one close to the $35 the unloader cost me.

B8ED186F-866A-4D43-B260-E14B2EDACF8A.jpeg Cut, split and loaded a cord yesterday and ripped both driver’s side tires on the trailer leaving the ranch last night. Got 2 new tires, drove back to install, delivered wood, went back to get other 2 tires mounted, and picked up this load, already cut, mostly split. 5 trips to tire store and about 150 miles to pick up trailer, deliver, and pick up another load.

That's some miles, sorry about the tires. We cut 6 trees for a widow that used to work with my hunny. Charged her a hug. It was 22 miles one way to her house, we took the tractor, hauled 3 loads of logs home and then brought tractor home. Close to 170 miles that day, 3/4 tank of gas...lol
    The total day's haul. 0514202046.jpg

ill put an oversized tarp down with the conveyor fully extended. Works good to keep the bed clean. I hate cleaning the bed out.

You got rid of your F150 with one of the greatest engines ever made. You have angered the hauling gods and they're paying you back.

:headbang: I loved the I6, but it couldn’t pull my new trailer. Heck even my 7.3 struggled yesterday with 1.5 cord up in the hills yesterday. 7DA075C4-0426-4B00-A97C-302D5F8506A3.jpeg The old truck is getting a workout this weekend. Going to cut and haul another half cord or so today. Last one, honey....
