Put these guys in our freezers yesterday. Have the next batch coming in the first week of June. I’ve had them come out as low as $1.58 last year. We lost a bunch this time around though

Good price per pound considering you know what you put into them, less all the crap and antibiotics and chemical we consume otherwise.

Chicken Tractor Finished. I'll be adding a tarp and a feeder and waterer brace to it once the chickens are transferred out of the brooder.

x 2.... I ended up using three extra pieces of metal roofing for breeze control for a few extra days.... wasn’t as warm the last two days as they were expecting...plus have the warming light outside... they are definitely a lot happier now that I did that...

Just built a new 4’x8’ coop. Nothing spectacular but very functional. When we went to pick up the lumber I made a quick detour to the flooring department at Lowe’s and found a clearance bundle of vinyl plank flooring. On the 4’x8’ plywood floor I stapled the flooring to the plywood. Cleanup is now a breeze. Covered with wood chips and it’s a dream. I’ll try to remember a pic tomorrow.

Nice..... the vinyl flooring makes a huge difference. Even better yet, a poop shelf under their roosts we added a year later made the "biggest" difference in a clean coop. Virtually NO poo anywhere besides the shelf! Into the compost pile with ease.

Here’s the vinyl flooring for inside the coop.

Wow.... pretty nice stuff! Your chickens have better floors than many people! (Minus the shavings & poo) :D

If it hadn’t been on clearance I wouldn’t have bought it.
