We usually do but not this time, we haven't a much rain this spring. It doesn't look like we'll have any in the next 10 days but I'm hoping mother nature will change that.

I saw that. We were close to you last year, we went to Backwoods Savage GTG . On the way back, we stopped at the Jiffy plant in Chelsea. Went on the tour. Maybe next time, we can meet.
Had 1 big shorty round left to split, got it moved to old splitter Broke it down to chunks Got it added to the short/uglies pile. Lot of great stove stuffers in a couple years. Glad I found some more good plastic pallets, gonna have to make several more bins. Moved the splitter to a new area with some shade, will start on the big shed next. We also will finally build the XL shed, too. I'll post pics of that in the "Wood shed floor" thread.

Thanks, it was the stump cutoff from the 36" red oak we processed a few weeks ago, it varied from 12-15" thick. Bad thing was, I had a young black/rat snake hanging around the woodpile, when I put one of the forks under that round to stand it up, it was under the round and the fork hit it...... This is the way I build the bins with the plastic pallets. We also use 55 gal drums to store chunks...
I’d like that! Never been to the jiffy plant but there’s a great barbecue place in Chelsea...m52 barbecue. Heard the plant tour was good....use the mixes often

No ma'am. Only built 2 early this year, after we had filled all the drums again. I drove 2 pieces of pipe down through the fork openings on 3 sides, maybe that will hold it up.

Picked up a new customer today. He had called a couple weeks ago, about getting some wood. He called back today, said he was ready for it. Has a nice fire pit, also has an oyster roaster. Said he was VERY HAPPY with the quality and amount we had on the truck. Got to rep FHC...
Our bulk bags come in on them from India. Hard part is finding some that aren't busted up bad! Glad I got some when I did, left work this morning, and the big pile had been cleaned up......
Got a text from our BBQ and stew friend, said he was ready to thin out some trees in an area he wants to make a bigger goat pasture. So we Dropped a nice 60' pine first, he got 3-16' saw logs from it. Then we took down the smaller oak. The big leaner needs to go, but I'm not Scotty Overkill or Barcroftb I think a big line up in the top and his big tractor can pull it. Maybe he can rent a lift. Took out a few small cherry trees This small hickory Had a couple hang-ups, but chain and tractor took care of that. Also dropped about 4 sweet gums and a rotten oak. Did take down another red oak that was ok, has some center rot. The load we brought home. When we pulled in to drop this load off, behind where I'm standing taking the pic, we saw this had blown down the night before, had some bad winds from a storm, but no rain... A big red/pin oak, most of those vines are wisteria...won't have far to get it to the woodyard...lol Yes sir buZZsaw BRAD ,it was WARM when we got home...
After all that fun and getting something to eat, we tackled the fun of getting the new Anderson WD hitch put on the dump trailer, should help out, seemed to work good when we put tractor on the trailer last night.
