Pandemic, now plagues of locusts, dams breaking in Michigan, supposedly bad hurricanes this year, probably end up drought and fires again out west, "murder hornets"...:picard::picard::picard:

No drought here. Raining this morning. worked in the sewing room instead of going for a walk. Now it is time to sit at the desk and get to work. I went into the office yesterday, today I stay home.

Where are the evacuees in Michigan going to stay with the strict rules there, cannot visit neighbors or relatives, and also Red Cross emergency shelter? Even there how to you keep everyone socially distanced?

Most of the states stay at home rules have been or are about to lift.

The strict rules have been lifted for those areas. I know of one large school that has been set up for evacuees and no doubt more will become available or already has.

I've seen dozens of pictures and know that area as we used to have a cottage near Edenville where we could go and meet as a family. Eventually it was sold as more of us lived so far away that it was tough to get together. Besides, I am not a fisherman at all so there was not much there for me and our family.

That part about downtown Midland being under 9' of water; that is a small area right by the river. After all, it is nice to own property by a river and nice to have a business there....until the floods begin and this is nothing new to that area.

But today broke clear and sunny. It is a beautiful day.

I've seen the Oriole at our bird feeders. I suppose I better get that quicky Oriole feeder started.

I tried loading a gif of 20 pictures but it apparently was too big of a file. It was through the screen window so not that great of quality.

    Here's a still of it SavedImage_20200520_115145_01.jpg

 I had those at my previous home, both yellow and orange (forgot the names), gorgeous!! Ours would pry the plastic flowers off the hummingbird feeders while ignoring the Oriole feeders (I think they were too tippy for them?).

PS, I see the string for Hayden's bell :)

We have our first Orioles ever this year, my wife cuts oranges in half and hags them in the trees...The orioles love to eat them. We also have Red-breasted Grosbeaks this year and for the first time ever she has seen a bluebird feeding out there. Many different woodpeckers and the entire spectrum of little peepy birds.

Backwoods Savage I don't think you live anywhere near those dam failures and from pictures looks like your home is in pretty high ground but it looks like y'all have gotten a lot of rain here recently!

We're about 50 miles from there but know the area fairly well. Yes, we live on high ground and yellow sand so not bothered much. However we do have a couple areas with standing water but nothing like around the dams for sure. I took a ride around our place and we are in good shape. Our total rain is about 5 1/4". Looks like more on the way this weekend but that is normal. We don't get many years without showers around Memorial Day. It is supposed to warm up and we should see 80 this weekend. 69 right now but beautiful sunshiny day.
