I dont cut any wood down there, just up here! Thanks for the kind words. It was cool and felt like firewood making weather!
You're welcome, buddy. Well deserved praise. It was nice and cool down here this weekend, but we didn't get any wood cut...
If these trees were taller I could dump them right on the wood pile (barely visible up by the barn in photo). Douglas Fir - easy livin, and a good time of year to be cutting wood.
I used to have a 92 Isuzu pickup about the same size and look. Used to load it the same way! Atta boy
Cutting yesterday with my littlest son, just shy of 6 cords to sell next year. Hoping to squeeze out a few more cords in the next week or two before it gets too dry to cut at the ranch.
I am jealous! 36,600,000 BTU's per cord. The King of fire woods. Anywhere. Just have to ask what you get for a cord of that gold? (Do you deliver in a 250 mile radius? LOL)
All I had to do was drive it home and toss it off. I’ll stack it later. My comrades tore out an old oil furnace and wood stove today to get ready for a new heat pump while I ran service calls and changed parts that had come in (I’m a residential hvac tech). They had to move all the wood to get the old equipment out and no one else wanted it, so on the work truck to my house it went!
edit- cottage grove! Haha I’ve delivered wood up to Ashland, as I have family on the way and love to ride up there. If you get down this way, you are welcome to cut as much as you want. 250-300$ Deliver locally about 15 miles, I’ve been delivering half cords about 35 miles up in the hills though for 130$. Nice old gal. I’d rather give it away than sell it to some folks. I especially like surprising the old guys who know and appreciate how much work It takes by giving them free firewood. As long as I can Sell enough to keep buying saws!
