Naw...he has a red "Craftsman"...I actually have one just like it (a real one you jokers  )
I was gonna buy him one at the Stihl dealer but they said I couldn't use the 20% off coupon they had sent me, so I told them to stick it in their ear (the coupon, not the saw )

I just grabbed the last of the wood at a friends house. Wicked headache courtesy of the pollen. I'm not looking forward to the offload.

Sorry about the headache. Our pollen season started mid March, tapered off but always something blooming.

The pollen has been wicked here this past week. The oak and grass pollen seem to be really peaking right now. Everything is yellow! Looking forward to the rain coming although it's gonna put me behind at work.

At times of boredom over the weekend I visited an oak blowdown from last Fall. Finished cutting the rounds. Hauled them to the wood yard to split and walk straight over the the latest hausen
walking it right off the splitter I have eliminated at least one step, maybe as many as three. This is the third hausen. Once it is finished, my 20-21 season is in the bag.

I have about a cord of fireplace wood in regular style stacks. Once the loggers get back to business, I will css near their landings from what they leave behind.

the rounds are oblong and measure 20-23 inches

Horkn I just checked the rain gauge and it is just at an inch. Radar shows we are almost done with the worst of it for today. The ground was really dry and most of this rain is soaking in. I noticed how brilliant the green was out side today after the rain. We really needed the rain. Hope you get a few breaks in the downpour to allow the pup a dry pee time.

About to tear into the short ribs I put in the crockpot this morning.
The garden dried out a little today. Could of been drier.
Managed to get cantaloupe, beans and tomatoes in. It started to thunder so I gather up the tools and came in. 45 minutes later no rain and no thunder. :(:(:(
Rain predicted for the next 2 days. Cucumbers, banana peppers and corn to go.

Unfortunately for us, there will be and has been zero dry potty times outside today.
    Screenshot_20200517-164248.png

Radar confirms this too. It's supposed to rain all day too.

I just looked at we've already gotten 2.23" of rain today so far. It's actually raining harder than it has all day so far. I wouldn't be shocked if we get over 3" today if it keeps up. Plus whatever else we get tomorrow.

I'm sorry, I had to potty train one of our puppies in a week of rain/heavy wet snow. Grateful she followed the 2 older dogs lead in getting her business done in the yard and I just watched, we had a deck on the main floor and I took them out the basement, puppy had not mastered the dog ramp from main floor yet. Still got wet and chilled every time. Hang in there Hayden! And you too Dad

All weekend project replacing fascia and the roof on the front door overhang. Old crown molding fell off and squirrels raised babies in the overhang last spring. The tough part was I could not get ladders on either side of the roof and put a pick across. Pipe staging would not fit on the stoop.

Old flat roof was tin with rolled asphalt on it. Loads of old hornet nests in here too. I pitched the new roof and made it a hip style. I just need to run some tyvek, install a few new clapboard and paint. All new fascia is vinyl boards and molding. Careful measuring made tight corners. Squirrel-proof for good.

I really beat myself up on the ladders. Not an ideal set up, but it is almost done.

I sat outside this morning until I could make noise around 9 am, and took a few pics of a magnolia warbler. We had a black and white warbler yesterday.

Wrens took over the bluebird box, so I closed the entrance hole up. They are working on a nest in a birdhouse on the barn.

Granite steps or cement? I can't tell. If granite, I would have bought the house for that alone. And the corbels!

Cement steps. The side walls have some glacial scarred stones in it.

The corbels are in excellent shape for 110 years old.
