Yes, same here regarding the fires and the heat switch being turned on.

    Hopefully that sticks.

Had something like that here a day or two ago. There were flying over VA hospitals to show support for all the workers. There had an escort of fighters with a refueler plane.

I know at one point that you guys were thinking about bringing one of his brothers or sisters back with him. What did you decide?

Thought about it, when there were a couple left. Pricey though. If she hadn't sold all of them at pick up, we might still have bought another though.

He'll have Badger to keep him company.

  I well remember when we lived close to Escanaba. If I had to to west or south, just a few miles and the clocks were different. People weren't though.

Yeah, they are nice to watch. When we wintered near Yuma we used to go over by El Centro once per year to watch them as they were based there for winter training and gave a show before they went cross country. That was nice along with the air show in Yuma at the Marine Air Base. That one was a big air show with, of course, lots of military planes and always those jets that could go up vertically then switch to horizontally. But cover your ears!

Was that the flyover in Detroit? There is a video of it taken from the cockpit of one of the planes.

Much warmer today, thankfully. Wind is basically calm. Supposed to only go up from here but rain to move in tonight and tomorrow.

Yeah, I recall this from going skiing at Indian Head and Marquette MTN.
Now Indian Head changed to honor central time zone, because before I met my wife, I'd go there. It was EST then. Now it's all CST. Indian Head is just over an hour away from my cabin up north. When you used to lose an hour of skiing due to the time zone difference, that sucked.

Cousin lives near Chicago, so I assume it was that area. Course they go so fast, they might have been over Detroit too.

Michigan had two different ones. None were the blue angels. Lower peninsula had 4) A10 warthogs in a diamond formation and then for the UP there were 2 C130's inline.

I live about 4 miles from the end of the longest currently active runway in Maine after Loring closed. MEANG has several fighters plus the northeastern most refueling wing in the US. When those boys and girls play, they PLAY. Awesome to watch them take off and shoot straight vertical about 1/3 of the way down the runway. Fuel consumption is not a concern from what I gather.

Drywall hanging is done. Going to go pick up a new exterior door and shower tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow I can pop out the old door, bring the shower in the house, and pop in the new door. Or it might wait a while.
