fwiw, Bob, aka @wishlist is really a great guy. I've known him for several years and have always had good communications with him. Yes, he does get a bit frisky with this virus thing as it is a sore spot with him and his family. Please do not hold it against him.

Bob retired a few years ago but has really been busy with many things. One thing is that he started making maple syrup (and walnut syrup too) and has gotten into it big time. He also set up his daughter to sell firewood to help put herself through college and she, like him, has done a terrific job. But Bob is into several other things too. Sad that he does not want to participate in this thread further but we all have choices to make.

I figured his wife was essential, he sounded like a man trying to protect his wife from an invisible enemy, and getting frustrated. Wish them both all the best:handshake:

Does everyone realize that flattening the curve, does not lower number infected or deaths. It just stretches pandemic out so hospitals are not overwhelmed with people dying in parking lots.

Hospitals and health care centers are laying off up here. Parking lots and beds are empty

I didn't realize his wife was an rn until he said something, so I understand his worry and anxiety. He's taking a break from here per his request last evening. Everyone will deal with things in their own ways.

Because here they stopped all non emergency visits, you don’t go to get health care without an ambulance!!

The curve appears to be flattened, is all I’m saying, since that was the original reason for staying home

Right along with the economy being flattened. I hope this did some good.

Our economy would have been flattened pretty well if it got as bad here as it did in other places like Italy. I don't know if it would have gotten that bad here without the steps taken but I don't think our leaders had much choice.

Yes it is but if we don't continue taking steps to control the spread it could get out of hand. Not saying many places can't go back to work. Just that this isn't over yet.

I guess an apology is in order from me. My wife read what I posted after Bob's post and said that I was not my normal diplomatic self. So, I guess I worded that all wrong or too strongly.

@wishlist, I really do sincerely apologize and still I hope that you did not take it wrong. Please forgive me.

The economy will be nonexistent if you wait long enough for it to be gone. It’s going to be here for years to come

I don't believe it's anything you wrote Dennis, and we are all guilty of giving our own opinions on this virus. Some of the opinions could be read wrong or even written in a way that was worded wrong.

For me personally, I feel that everybody should be cautious regarding the virus. But at the same time, I feel there is a little overreach and we must be careful of how many of our liberties could be taken away or the damage it's causing to so many families and businesses.

I can see Bob reading my thoughts and getting upset because his wife is an RN, on the front lines, but nothing I write is any personal jab at him- again just my thoughts on this.
