Why would she feel proud and accomplished? Barber had a choice , he decided to open so he subject to the consequences.
It’s not like we are the only state that have/had stay at home orders . Let’s not forget that right at the beginning we were the 3rd worst state behind NY/NJ . She did what she had to do and I thank her ! My wife and her co workers also thank her .

I've always had short hair; flat top. But now I look more like a skin head... But it is comfortable.

I don't think he is wise doing this and will pay dearly in the long run. He has good intentions but now it looks more like trying to save face...but losing bad.

We'll be ready to re-open when bus drivers can tell riders to wear a mask and not get spit upon.
We'll be ready when McDonalds workers can say the dining room is closed without being shot.
We'll be ready when park rangers can ask people to social distance without being shoved in a lake.
We'll be ready when store employees can ask people to wear a mask before entering without being killed.
We'll be ready when we can show we can listen and follow safety guidelines.
I don't know when the virus will be ready for us to re-open but clearly we are not ready.
Freedom is a responsibility not just an unearned privilege to do as we please.
We are acting like a bunch of spoiled whiny brats who are more than willing to hurt others and put others at risk.
We’ll be ready when we treat each other with love and respect.
    We are not ready.

On top of that I saw video clips where there were 6 or 8 people standing inside the shop waiting , shoulder to shoulder , none of them wearing masks.
If he had opened up and set it up with appointment only , one person at a time , I don't think they would be coming down on him so hard, and it would be safer for everyone.
No way in hell would I go there for a haircut

I don't see how any of those things has anything to do with a city, state, or country being "ready to open" or not...it does show however, how selfish, inconsiderate, un-respectful, and in some of those examples, just plain evil people can be.

Sounds like more need to practice their guaranteed 2nd amendment right if things are that bad. Right to defend themselves from the crazy fear driven nut cases.

I saw the video regarding that ranger being pushed into a lake from that young drunk guy. He was arrested thankfully.

This virus is a tough one. The governor's should be discussing conditions on the ground with each local town health official. We have 0 here, why cause the already struggling businesses to shut down when there are no cases?? I'm sure retired folks have a small but steady income arriving every month, but this ain't the case for many small business owners whom we're forced to close.

We live in America, nothing will take away our freedoms guaranteed in the constitution and bill of rights and if it does there will be bloodshed. It's guaranteed, non negotiable even for a virus!

Your very fortunate you have 0.

When your loved one is in the hospital dying and your unable to visit them to say goodby , when 5 miles from me the in a small rural town the assisted living complex has portable trailers setup to house employees because the facility is hit so bad by the virus , when hospitals are so full they build temporary hospitals in parking lots , when your spouse comes home from work exhausted but keeps trying to safe lives every damm day of this thing and keeps her PPE in a paper bag to reuse the next day because of the shortage maybe YOU would change your point of view just a tad .

I know this is a sore topic for you. It sounds like to me that secretly, you are upset that your wife chooses to go in to work during these times.

When you see people out and about, you naturally assume that they are exposing everyone else to the virus; or everyone else is exposing others to the virus.

This is what the media/governor wants you to believe. What about everyone else that is deemed "essential" by decree of the gov and allowed to continue their daily work? Such as..... lets use UPS drivers. Just how many people do they come into contact with a day? Nothing to be concerned about since they have that special "essential" blessing?

And (forgive me) what about health care workers? Direct contact with the virus or at least in buildings where the virus is....and they stop for gas, food, mail, whatever on the way to work or on the way home from work? What makes them special and allowed to put others at risk?

Something is wrong if we can not see how the stay at home order is flawed. Think about this...… Of all the nursing homes, assisted living, old vets centers and similar..... those residents were and have been on a stay at hoe for years and years! They aren't the ones who contacted others! It was brought into them form the outside. Carried and transmitted by visitors, delivery services and workers...… those very same workers in charge of keeping them alive and healthy!

I guess in the end, everyone will deal with this in their own ways. Everything on the news is fearmongering, nothing but adding people's defense mechanisms into high gear from being scared, stressed ect.

Just wait until ALL these people are broke, can't buy food, or the scumbags can't get their fix, then we'll have something to worry about. How many states are close to going bankrupt? Is it 3 now? No unemployment, no problem....let's go rob some people at 3am....

What’s a sore subject with me is the ignorance and selfishness of others who think that we shouldn’t take necessary precautions . A decision had to be made on trying to contain this virus , it’s bad but could have been much much worse . My wife chooses to help others in need and I fully support her .

Your assumption that nursing homes , assisted livings , ect.... are that those residents have been on stay at home orders for years and that “ we “ brought the virus to them is seriously flawed . Many residents at nursing homes leave and go places with family members . Out to dinner , shopping or whatnot . Residents in these facilities are not all bed ridden .

I’m sure the stay at home order is flawed . Nothing’s perfect and we certainly haven’t been thru this before to have some sort of history on how to handle this . Certain things are essential , that UPS driver delivers meds to mail order people . You need a gas station for the first responders to be able to get to work .
Big difference between those and a barber shop , tattoo parlor , ect....
