    DAY 44

Ventured out this morning and bought an essential leg hold trap for a certain groundhog that has taken the gov's stay at home order a bit too seriously. It has already been caught and "dealt with".

We dealt with a couple woodchucks here too Dave.

Poor barber in Owosso got a big ticket because he opened his shop against orders.

Everyone should send in a donation to pay for the ticket.

I bet if he fights it, it'll be dismissed.

My wife says thanks to the 77 year old barber in OUR community who cut hair for 3 days working 15 hour days who selfishly put more health care workers at greater risk .

I know you're just making a funny, but, you can mow your lawn in Michigan. Yes, you can mow your lawn under Gov. Whitmer's executive order

Unfortunately there's a lot of people taking people's comments online as gospel.

So grow, smoke, and mow your grass in Michigan. ;)

As bad as I need a haircut, I still would not have gone in.

But, I agree with those who made the informed choice to get their haircut. No one held a gun to their head. (snicker, snicker)

I could take them or leave them as casino's are designed to make $$$ not give it away. And as much as 99 "enjoys" going to them (occasionally) I don't think she is ready to go to one either! I do not know of any that have re-opened yet.

What “ informed “ choice did the people make ?
My guess is none except to “ stick it to the governor”.
I’ve seen nothing that said the 77 year old barber was tested nor any of his customers .
No way in hell would I want to sit in a barber chair after all those people .

I agree! But, everyone knows that there is a sickness going on, no? That's the informed choice they made.

Same decision your wife is making by going in to work every day (or however often she does). She is taking a much greater risk, you'd have to agree.

Now don't take me wrong on this, we are appreciative of her work! :handshake: But at what point will she regret going in? When it is too late?

You are speaking of "The Island Resort/Casino". Yes, it was supposed to open yesterday (May 6th) but "due to unforeseen circumstances" (?) will wait until The 16th...… (big deal)

I'm liking the bars not being open, myself!

I’ll ask her tonight when she finishes her 12 hour day , 5 days a week plus she’s the DON and up all hours answering calls 7 days a week .
My wife is the most dedicated person I have ever met at her job . I’ve asked her many times since this virus started how her day went . Usually she says still saving lives sometimes not . Can’t even mourn and have a funeral for 3 of her coworkers who died from this thing.

So I see this side of it , many many people don’t and all up in arms because they can’t buy paint ,flowers , or whatever .

Well I respect her dedication, and I hope she can pace herself so she doesn't burn out or get careless. I also hope the next wave doesn't drown her facility. People don't get how serious this is, if no one they know is affected.
