Sell that 290 and use the funds for porting the 261.

This answer buZZsaw BRAD, once you run a ported saw you'll never go back. huskihl did an 026 & 036 for me, & there is no comparison. The 036 will run with a stock 046! The 026 will run 16" 3/8 chain buried all day long & rip an 029/290 up.

The 029's were a popular saw. Plenty capable, but quite underpowered for their weight !

Having owned one for nearly ten years i agree. Came with a 16" bar. Bought a 20" bar a couple years ago for it and was disappointed cutting larger wood.

X3...I got the 029 done first, because I only had the 362 left. After running the big bore 029/039 when we picked it up @ GTG in Michigan, I was blown away. You guessed it, the 362 was left behind, it has a XS in its name now.

Definitely not a 20" bar saw. Only ever ran 16"on mine. It's sitting on the bench now collecting dust. Waiting for it to become a collectable.

They are here in very limited numbers. I have 4 sold already and have only been able to get 1 due to supply.

Talk about a nice lightweight incredibly quick saw.....wow!
