Hope your all well. Iv been working like a dog for quite a few weeks. I got quite a few campfire orders too. However my main concern is the 14 cord order. On top of all the landscaping on my property iv managed to crank out 6 cords of seasoned dead standing so far. Its been crazy but so worth it. Kamo has been an excellent boy helping Out and behaving while his Mom and sister are involved with heavy demands for their college classes. Tito of course has been helping keep Kamo busy. River buds in the yard alot lately.
14 cord order. So split the season and put it to the side then go find some more. When does this all have to be done. Hopefully there is no stacking when delivered. Can you deliver a few cords at a time?
Im sourcing dead standing fir his OWB. He wants more efficiency. He always orders cordwood. Im gutting fat 2 footers and not splitting older rounds. I had a lady down the rd give me 3 cords of 4 year old logs. Business is good, i got people looking for me now to give me wood

14 cord...wow This guy plans on burning all of that in his OWB? Is he trying to get a couple years ahead or burns year round? Goodness! Just trying to understand why. I’d love to fill an order like thatMy clients that purchase their years burning from me usually get anywhere from 3-5 cord. One of them has told me that he wants 8 cord this year because he wants to get ahead some because of these uncertain times. Absolutely!

He always bought 16-18” splits and blows through wood. So i told him i can get him more efficient by not splitting everything and leaving stuff bigger. Theres also the issue that he is US Navy injured retired so wood cant be too big and heavy.
Iv got a couple trees i could drop for the bridge. Been here 10 years and keep saying someday ill do it.
He also has a wood-stove and a wood cookstove oven. Theres got to be a point where oil is cheaper, he says no.
That’s awesome to have a client like that! And to top it all off, he’s a veteran! I have found with some of the older folks, even if it’s not as cost effective, it gives them something to do during the cold months. They may not be physically able to go and collect the firewood they need each year, but the routine that is created is very fulfilling for them. I know it’s something I enjoy. I have an older client with an OWB who bought 6 cord of mostly white oak splits from me last year. Even though you can fit some big stuff in those OWB, some of those older guys either don’t like handling the big wood or cant. I’ll bet your guy will always buy wood. Can you imagine how much his routine would change if he didn’t cook, heat with his OWB, or have fires in his stove? Keep up the good work and the pics are awesome!
I think that's true for a lot of us! Making firewood is the best, but burning it is second- best anyways.
I burn in the neighborhood of 14 cord in my OWB a season. 2400 sq ft house + 600 sq ft garage + domestic hot water from Oct 1-June 1 each year. Northern NH temps can get low! I actually think 14 cord is pretty good considering.
Must be colder than where I’m at. I burn all my wood indoors and don’t know a lot about OWB other than what some of the people I sell to tell me about them. I’ll admit our winters here in Michigan have definitely seemed milder overall for the last few years. Sure, we’ll get some really cold snaps, but nothing seems to sustain like it used to. I know I burn less than I did even 10 years ago. That’s impressive Blstr88! And you don’t run your boiler year round like some do. Thanks for the insight
